An article has appeared on the Atlus USA homepage covering what is and isn’t allowed for Persona 5 streamers. Streamers are straight up not allowed to show any content past 7/7 in game. They shouldn’t post videos longer than 90 minutes long and there is a laundry list of specifics that should not be streamed.
Atlus then goes on to say:
This being a Japanese title with a single-playthrough story means our masters in Japan are very wary about it. Sharing is currently blocked through the native PS4 UI. However, if you do plan on streaming, video guidelines above apply except length. If you decide to stream past 7/7 (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING THIS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED), you do so at the risk of being issued a content ID claim or worse, a channel strike/account suspension.
Their reasoning? Spoilers. Atlus are threatening streamers with a ContentID, and worse, a channel strike over spoilers. Threads have popped up over at Neogaf and Reddit discussing the situation.
