We believe no game review can be universal. Humans play the games; humans write the reviews.
Our reviews are conducted in an impartial, fair and open manner, but are a very much a product of the writer’s history, experience and personality. For this reason, we select our reviewers based on their relevant history and experience with a game series or genre.
Our review scores are based on a five star rating with no half stars given.
While we value and respect the relations we have with publishers and developers, our priority is to our readers; any opinions, positive or negative, are based purely on the merits of the publicly released product.
Games considered for review may have been provided by the publisher, developer or studio; otherwise, they are purchased at Semi-Informatic’s expense. Regardless of how games are supplied, they are always treated in same impartial manner.
During the coverage cycle, if staff have attended early-access or preview events paid for by the publisher, attendance of these events will be disclosed.
Semi-Informatic may accept complimentary hardware, accounts, content or in-game funds that are necessary for fully testing game features. Access to these is based on necessity and will not affect our final opinions.
We strictly abide by non-disclosure agreements (NDA) or embargos preventing us from providing coverage before a publisher-specified date.
Semi-Informatic reserve the right to not review a publisher-supplied game at our discretion.
